CRITICAL SUCCESS OBJECTIVES:
- To plan freight movement of imported and exported cargo. (air and sea freight)
- To coordinate the freight movement of imports and exports including customs clearance.
- To cost freight movements and prepare estimates.
- Process administration relating to all imports/export files.
- To liaise with and instruct relevant freight forwarders and transporters.
- To produce various reports and provide a clear dashboard to Operations of inbound/outbound schedules.
- Comply with all legal, quality requirements.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- 5 years experience in Sea/Airfreight controlling capacity.
- Familiar with Customs documentation.
Qualifications:
- Matric
- Planning skills, Strong attention to detail
- Adaptable, Excellent communication skills
- Specialist knowledge of freight forwarding & clearing documents, procedures and practices
- Computer literacy, Navision a bonus
